Apple’s Hollywood plans


Apple is getting into show business and the tech giant is already building a 128,000-square-foot headquarters in Culver City, California for its entertainment division, The New York Times reports. Apple entertainment has targeted March 2019 to release a new slate of programs. The company, in recent months has outspent Facebook and YouTube making original programming. Last year, Apple said it had a budget of $1 billion to spend on original programs but the New York Times reports the company will spend much more than that figure. Apple Worldwide Video is now a team of 40 which has made deals with Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and other high profile names. •What do you think Apple needs to do to create shows you will watch?
