‘Thousands’ of Juul documents seized
The Food and Drug Administration has taken “thousands of pages of documents” from e-cigarette maker Juul. The surprise inspection happened last week at its San Francisco headquarters, where CEO Kevin Burns said the company walked the agency through its business — from its marketing practices to its age-verification tools. The FDA recently told several e-cigarette makers to submit plans within 60 days to keep their products away from minors; it’s believed that over two million middle and high-schoolers used e-cigarettes last year.
